Improvement of the procedure for passing the qualification exam The Supreme Judicial Council was established in order to ensure the constitutional powers of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to form courts, guarantee the independence of judges and their inviolability.

The main powers of the Council include organization of the qualification exams for citizens who have expressed a desire to work as judges. At the initiative of Dmitriy Malakhov, the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, work was carried out to improve the procedure for passing the qualification exam, including increasing the exams frequency.

Since January of this year, the first three stages of the exam have been held on a monthly basis, that allows candidates to complete all stages of the exam within an average of three to four months without compromising its quality.

In two months, 345 candidates took part in the computer testing on knowledge of the legislation, and the Qualification Commission held 8 meetings, which were attended by 53 candidates.

It should be noted that the Council accepts documents for passing the qualification exam on an ongoing basis. It is necessary to send the prescribed package of documents to the Supreme Judicial Council.

All necessary methodological recommendations are also posted on the official Internet resource and on social pages of the Council in order to be better prepared for the qualification exam.
