Today, the Chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhandos Shaimardanov, met with the Director of the Permanent Representation of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Kazakhstan, Utsav Kumar.

The meeting focused on discussing cooperation within the framework of ADB's Country Partnership Strategy in Kazakhstan for 2023-2027, as well as facilitating the implementation of structural and institutional reforms.

In his speech about the Agency's activities, Zhandos Shaimardanov highlighted that the Asian Development Bank has been a reliable partner of Kazakhstan for thirty years. He noted that there have been historical relations between the institutions and that several projects in the field of statistics have been implemented and are ongoing. "ASPR is always open to strategic cooperation with ADB aimed at the socio-economic prosperity of the country," added the Chairman of the Agency.

In response, Utsav Kumar expressed support for the ongoing economic reforms in the country, noting the particular importance of the Presidential Decree on economic liberalization measures. He reported on the productive work on projects with the Bureau of National Statistics and the intentions to deepen cooperation in other areas as well.

In conclusion, both parties agreed to continue fruitful collaboration.
