They were found guilty of embezzlement of budget funds of over KZT  73 mln by illegally transferring salaries to persons who did not actually work at

municipal

state

institution

By a court verdict, A. Shmidova was sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment, and G. Zhalekenova, taking into account full compensation for damages and the presence of a minor child, was sentenced to restriction of liberty for a period of 3 years and 6 months.

In addition, they are banned from holding positions in the civil service and in quasi-public sector entities for life.

The judicial act has not entered into legal force.

As part of preventive measures, the trial was conducted in an open mode.

Managers and accountants of educational institutions are involved in the online process.

At the same time, in accordance with subparagraph 1 of paragraph 3 of Article 77 of the Constitution and part 1 of Article 19 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, everyone is considered innocent until his guilt in committing a criminal offense is established by a court verdict that has entered into force.
